Third Degree Little Rock Arkansas band September, 12 2008 at JUANITA’S

Hey folks,

I really hope you are checking out this great Arkansas band called “Third Degree” they are pretty damn awesome to say the least. A few months back they released the bands first CD “Today It’s Raining” at the bands release party at one of Little Rock, Arkansas’ well known music venues “Juanita’s“. The crowd participation was outstanding and the band was very thankful for all that showed up to support the bands first CD debut. We must admit it was a really great show..

Now, for the present “Third Degree” has announced on the bands Myspace they will be shooting a video of the bands performance at “Juanita’s”in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 12th 2008 and the band has invited every to come get involved and be in the video. We have also heard though the grapevine that the band will be performing some brand new songs, of course we didn’t hear any new titles of the new music but we just bet they will be awesome.. So make sure you mark your calendar and show up September 12th 2008 at “Juanita’s“, tickets are $8.00 at the door..Show starts at 9pm..

Third Degree Band CD Release Party June 28th 2008 Little Rock, Arkansas

Well the night started off just as excepted at downtown Juanita’s Mexican Restaurant and music venue. The crowd entered the door and I must say some very familiar faces were there. Some of Central Arkansas’ top bands came to show the band support and also tons of local patrons that have seen this band perform for many years. It was very nice seeing them all in one room together.

First on the stage Typhoid Mary band from Little Rock, Akansas this was the first time we have ever seen this band perform and I must say they were very entertaining, the lead singer of the group Ashley Richardson is a power house vocalist and has a great stage presence. This little power house female vocalist really got the crowd out of their seats. The band performed a set of just about 80s music and picked the songs pretty good. In our oppion you should really check this band out at a local venue, we only had a chance to see them perform for under an hour. I just bet they have alot more to show!

Soon after it was time for the headliner of the night to appear on stage, you guess it “Third Degree”. The band hit the stage and welcomed everyone and then started off performing the bands original set list. Wow, you talk about a powerful tight band. Not only are the three members in-tune with one another musically, the vocals of the band were outstanding. The crowd sang along with just about every song the band performed, but to top off the night the band performed a special parody called “Devil Went Down To Georgia” and the crowd went wild. It was the best song all night in our opinion. We think they should have recorded this song and made it a bonus track on their new CD. Well maybe they will make a video of the song and spread it all over “Youtube”. This song rocks and it is from Charlie Daniels Band. I just bet if Mr. Daniels heard this song performed the way “Third Degree” performs it he would be proud, it is that good.

Some of the other songs “Third Degree” performed the night from their new CD were “Don’t Judge Me Jesus” which just plan rocks and “Today It’s Raining” in fact is very commerical and should be considered for air play on the local radio stations in our opinion. Now a little more about the crowd, they were really into the band during the entire performance.It was great seeing a sea of head bangers in such a great music venue and “Third Degree” was just in Ah!! over the response of the crowd. We tried to interview the band after the show and it was just impossible, because of all of the fans getting sign autographs and congratulating the band for over an hour. So we pretty much just stayed on the side lines and watched and took notes, it was really worth it.

The next band that took the stage after “Third Degree” was a band called “Austin 305″ and they are very good, but we did not get a chance to visit with the band. We would recommend checking them out at a local venue.

MUDD BAND Performs For The Arkansas Foundation For Skin Cancer

MUDD LIVE IN MURRY PARK

MUDD will be performing at Murry Park in Little Rock, Arkansas for the Arkansas Foundation For Skin Cancer. The band MUDD will start performing at 6:30 pm till 9:30 pm July 12th 2008. MUDD has told us that they are very honored to be performing at such a wonderful event here in Little Rock, Arkansas. The band promises to give the best performance for the cause. In the past MUDD has performed at several benefits and functions to help raise money and every fundraiser really gives this Little Rock, Arkansas band the energy and charisma to entertain, because it is or such a wonderful cause.

The Rythmn Shakers Perform At The Arlington Hotel Hot Springs, Arkansas

Last night at the Arlington Hotel in beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Little Rock, Arkansas band called The Rythmn Shakers performed for the Arkansas Bar Associations annual convention. The Arlington Hotel was wall to wall with lawyers and staff from early in the evening till after mid -night. The Rythmn Shakers band from Little Rock, Ar started the evening with high energy classic rock and dance music and the crowd was very energized until the end of the night.

The Arlington Hotel is a very nice establishment to have an event and the staff of the hotel are absolutely wonderful. In our opinion the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas is the best place to have such of an event. Really, do yourself a favor and visit this very classy hotel.

As the evening progressed, we stopped and spoke with the band leader of “The Rythmn Shakers” Wayne WIllems lead guitarist and vocalist. We asked Mr.Willems what his thoughts were about this wonderful event. “I myself and the band are very honored to perform at such an awesome occasion, and everyone really seems to enjoy the band” and then stated “We hope to perform for the Arkansas Bar Association in the future”.

After speaking with Wayne Willems lead guitarist/Vocalist of The Rythmn Shakers we stayed around and watch the band perform the last two sets of the evening. I will say, this Little Rock, Arkansas band is very good at what they do. The drummer of the band is very good as well. Her name is Sharon Simmons, vocalist/drummer for The Rythmn Shakers this little lady is also very talented and has one of the best performing voices we have ever heard. The bass player/vocalist David Willems brother of Wayne Willems lead guitarist/vocalist is a very entertaining musician and has a very unique vocal range you really need to hear. This fellow can really walk the bass, if you know what I mean. The keyboard player of The Rythmn Shakers is Tim Sullivan of Little Rock, Arkansas.Tim Sullivan is one of he newest members of the band and really helps set the versatility and musical atmosphere for The Rythmn Shakers sound. Tim Sullivan is a veteran musician and has been performing for years in the Central Arkansas area.

Hire MUDD – Arkansas Classic Rock Band

Our article is about a local classic rock band called ”MUDD” from Little Rock, Arkansas. “MUDD” has been entertaining at local bars and private events for many years. The band took a break from performing to work on other projects for over a year. “MUDD” is back, and gearing up for the new year. This band is just amazing! The reason why? They have one of the largest song lists we have ever seen. They perform over 500 songs from hundreds of different artists and not just classic rock. This band even plays country standards and blues.

The members of “MUDD” have been performing since they were in middle school. Two of the members in this trio are related: Dave Willems Bassist/Vocalist and Wayne Willems Guitarist/Vocalist. Gary Howdershell “Howdy”, Drummer was a neighborhood friend that used to come over to the Willems brothers’ house to see them rehearse with their younger brother Rich Willems – Drummer. Howdy would stand right beside Rich Willems and watch his every move. When Rich Willems would get up to take a break, Howdy would jump right on the drums, seamlessly, never missing a beat. Howdy was always right there waiting for the opportunity to play. He eventually started playing with other bands and got really good. For many years, the Willems brothers performed cover music and wrote many original songs under the band named “SEDRETH”. I really couldn’t tell you were they came up with that name, but it is pretty unique.

In the late 80s Rich Willems – Drummer decided to pursue a different direction and quit performing with “SEDRETH” and his two brothers. Dave & Wayne also decided to take a break from performing together as well. Each of the members joined other bands and started writing original music on their own.

After about five years of the band being disbanded, Dave & Wayne decided to get back together and asked their brother Rich if he would like to perform again. But, he declined. Howdy just so happened to be between bands and was asked to join the two brothers. The band “MUDD” was formed.

Ever since then, “MUDD” has performed at hundreds of events and bars all over Arkansas. From time to time, the members of “MUDD” have taken breaks from performing like lots of bands do. But not all of those bands have been together as long as these guys.

“MUDD” is a very entertaining band and one of Arkansas’ most respected bands from peer musicians. When “MUDD” is performing at a local venue, you can pretty much depend on some of the best local talent in central Arkansas to be in the audience. “MUDD” really appreciates and respects their fellow musicians and friends and will support them all.

Since you have learned a little history about “MUDD”, you should really take a chance to go see them perform somewhere. Or even better, hire them for you next event!

Razorback Saturday Night Song – Terrell Lynn – Arkansas Razorbacks

Hey Arkansas Razorback Fans,

Here is a great song we would like to introduce to Razorback Fans just maybe you had a chance to hear  this song on your local Arkansas radio station.”Razorback Saturday Night” has been on local Arkansas radio stations such as KSSN, 106.7 The Wolf and US97 just to name a few.

This little parody is a spin off of most popular “Louisiana Saturday Night” composed by songwriters ”Butch & Nancy Tracey” and recorded by artist “Mel Mcdaniel.This song has also been recorded by many other artist since it’s release late 1981.Such artist as “Alabama“,”Don Williams” and like I say many other countless artists over the last few decades.

The parody “Razorback Saturday Night” was created by a very special lady by the name of “Janice Rhodes” of Malvern, Arkansas.

The song was then introduced to artist “Terrell Lynn” by husband of “Janice Rhodes”Pat Rhodes” and was then recorded at home studio of local musician “Michael Heavner” pianist. Artist Terrell Lynn was very honored to have the opportunity to sing on this wonderful parody and never had any idea that it would bring any notoriety to the Arkansas Razorbacks and himself. Terrell Lynn from Traskwood, Arkansas has been a songwriter and performer for over 10 years in the country industry.Terrell Lynns musical roots come from some of his favorite artist like Merle Haggard,Sammy Kershaw,Willie Nelson,George Strait and many more to mention. Terrell Lynn is a humble talented artist with a very high energy stage performance that gets a crowd up and out of their sits.
