Here in Arkansas we see a lot of Arkansas weddings and a lot of you Arkansas brides. Over the past months we have notice a trend that is starting with Arkansas brides, that we think started with one Arkansas bride many years ago.

Back in the late 80’s Arkansas brides normally had very traditional Arkansas weddings with live bands and occasionally Arkansas Brides would hire a wedding DJ for their beautiful reception. Well, we have seen the trend change in Arkansas weddings over the last two decades. Arkansas brides are hiring more DJs for Arkansas weddings than ever before.

I think we understand why, the music has changed. There is much more variety and most young adults really like a variety of music from the 60s to 2000s. A large number of cover bands in Arkansas just can perform a vast genre of music that is needed for an Arkansas wedding. Yes, of course there are at best a handful of Arkansas bands that could even pull this current music off at an Arkansas wedding, but a variety of music that is a different story all together.

Now don’t get us wrong we love Arkansas bands and they are very good at performing. But, an Arkansas DJ can just perfrom a wider range of music and keep the energy going at an Arkansas wedding. We have seen this time an again.

If you are planning a wedding in Arkansas here are some great tips to really help you out.

1. Think about your wedding from beginning to end. Next, where and when will your wedding take place? Will my wedding attire be casual or formal? What kind of food should be served at the reception – dinner or finger foods?

2. Pick your wedding date.
